Please be advised that as of October 01, 2009, if your boxer has a primary insurance carrier (which preceeds USA Boxing’s secondary insurance coverage) and is injured during either a supervised training session, or while competing in a sanctioned event, and needs medical attention, or is hospitalized, the deductable for usage of USA Boxing’s insurance is now $1,000.00 per claim as opposed to the $100.00 deductable that was required in the past.

If your boxer has no primary insurance coverage and relies on USA Boxing’s insurance as his/her primary insurance, the deductable is $2500.00 per claim. These changes were recently approved by USA Boxing’s Board of Directors.

With this in mind, please register your boxers as soon as they begin coming to your gym. Not registering your boxers puts you at risk of a lawsuit in the event an injury occurs. Do not take that chance!!!

Please inform your boxers of this insurance update and also the parents of all minor boxers you may have on your team or in your gym.
